The National Organising Committee is honoured to invite you to attend Euroanaesthesia 2011, the Annual Meeting of the European Society of Anaesthesiology, in Amsterdam from 11 June to 14 June, 2011.
As for every annual meeting the Scientific Committee has composed an excellent scientific programme covering the latest knowledge in different areas of Anaesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine and Pain treatment. This congress gives every colleague the opportunity to receive the latest information in clinical management but also basic research and education in Anaesthesia. We also expect a large number of scientific abstracts which will provide recent findings in Anaesthesia research. Beside the opportunity to receive the latest scientific information in Anaesthesiology, this congress will also provide you with an occasion to meet other colleagues from all European countries and broaden your mind through healthy discussions regarding the different topics presented at the congress.
With this invitation to attend Euroanaesthesia 2011, we would like you also to consider to apply or renew your membership of the European Society of Anaesthesiology before 31 January 2011. Not only to receive all benefits like the complimentary subscription to the European Journal of Anaesthesiology, online access to other journals and full access to the ESA website, but also to receive a substantial discount on your registration fee for Euroanaesthesia 2011. Besides your individual advantages, the European Society of Anaesthesiology will benefit from increasing membership numbers, and through this, gain a larger influence while representing the interests of European Anaesthesiologists.
Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands is an excellent city to host Euroanaesthesia 2011, not only because it can easily be reached from every part of the world, but also for its well known congress centre - the RAI, which is not far from the city centre. It is closely located to all kinds of public transportation that takes you to one of the many great restaurants that Amsterdam and its surrounding cities have to offer. The city is well known for all its beautiful museums, like the famous van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum, but also for its wonderful canals from which large parts of the inner town of Amsterdam can be viewed by guided tours on canal boats. Of course there is far more to discover in Amsterdam and its surrounding cities and therefore we will set up a tourist information booth within the congress venue to provide you with more information when you are looking to spend some free time outside the congress programme. In the near future, on the ESA website, we will also provide you with an extensive partner programme with different kinds of tours that can be booked for an additional fee.
The Netherlands Society of Anaesthesiologists also takes the opportunity to welcome all delegates. At Euroanaesthesia 2011 we will set up a national museum of Anaesthesiology where executives of the Society will be available to answer all kind of questions regarding the past present and future of Anaesthesiology practice in the Netherlands. We are looking forward to welcome you there!
